Approved Retirement Fund

The Approved Retirement Fund (ARF) and the Approved Minimum Retirement Fund (AMRF) are alternatives to purchasing an annuity at retirement. These funds allow you to invest the proceeds of your pension fund at retirement in a fund of your choice. The attraction of these funds is that you can still benefit from investment growth on your pension fund after you retire and still withdraw funds whenever you like for income during your retirement years. However, an AMRF cannot be accessed until aged 75.
