Repayment Mortgage (annuity repayment):
This is the most common type of mortgage, they're simple, easy to understand and very straight forward. Each month you repay a small portion of the capital owed plus the monthly interest due on your borrowings.
Interest Only
This option allows you to repay only the interest owed on the amount borrowed. It allows you to make smaller repayments, however only a limited number of lending institutions allow this method of payment.
Pension Backed Mortgage
This involves taking out an interest only mortgage, together with a pension plan. The pension plan will repay the capital element of your mortgage at retirement age.
